Don't get me wrong, the picture is great, sound is good, but commercial breaks are boring!  :-(

I can shed a little light on the commercials. I'm quite confident that I recorded the UK broadcast on 26th December 2002. At the time I had a Philips DVD recorder but only analogue cable signal. I had no software available to cut the adverts without re-encoding the video. It was better to leave them in and not introduce sync errors by altering anything. Why it wasn't redone at a later date I have no idea!

Edit: I should point out that my recording is not the one from Hunger City.

It seems that I did remake the Live By Request PAL recording with the adverts removed. I uploaded to MWP around July 2009 :)

Having spent several hours looking for a backup of a spreadsheet file, I'm surprised how much material is still on removable hard drives. Terabytes of stuff yet I cant find a backup of a file just a few k in size. Grrr!
