The price of these are way to high, the "cheap" black vinyl is €30 for a one sided four song 12"
If they wanted to use the 12" format for having better sound it would be two songs on each side.
When The Next Day 2Lp came out it was about €16.
Its lets suck them dry fest in every way at the Bowie store

I think there'll be loads of this sort of thing now. After the crazy prices people were paying for the Blackstar + lithographs it's a real money-spinner.

Interestingly the Bowie site says the white vinyl EP "is a made to order one-time-run of a numbered die-cut package ... "

Earlier today this "Limited Edition" it was shown as Sold Out. When I looked again at 6.00pm there were copies available once more. There still are.

Perhaps everybody who orders a limited edition copy will get one. That should prevent silly prices appearing on eBay, although at the moment there are copies listed on eBay for up to £130.00.

I seem to remember that Woolworths sold "limited edition" albums in the 1970s and 80s but when you looked at the small print it said, "... limited to 250,000 copies ...".

No doubt these tracks will all be on the Super Deluxe edition of Blackstar in the autumn.

I am sure you are right about the deluxe edition, they will most likely add one song maybe Blaze to make sure we buy it all again. The question ill it be CD only or will they do a vinyl edition?

I don't think a lot of the things that are being sold as collectors items now will be very collectable in a not so far future. Like the picture singles that almost all are badly sounding represses of earlier released songs. I would at any time prefer a good sounding original, for a lot of them it will be cheaper too. The same goes for this white vinyl with a bad print, using a photo that has already done the rounds it has been in magazines, news papers and on-line, it's just not very exclusive, the vinyl itself is the same as on the Lazarus, only difference is the back of the 12" etching, very uninspired too. In general I think the most collectable items by artist are mad wile the artist is alive, for musicians mostly in the beginning of their career and then sometimes the last thing they do.

One more thing that bugs me is when a print is described as a lithograph, to do a lithograph you draw/paint or transfer an image to a lime stone and print from that. If you do a modern style where you transfer to an image to metal plate using photosensitive emulsion it should be called offset lithography. I doubt this is anything but offset like the posters that came with Blackstar, like 99% of all stuff printed.

Al thou all of this irritates me I still NEED these song on vinyl, I pre-ordered mine, a black one I presume it did not say, from French Amazon, it was € 14.55 including tax and shipping to Denmark. If you are in Germany it's properly cheaper from jpc.de it's €10.99 + shipping. Half price at the Bowie vulture shop before shipping.
