Now BBC Worldwide have sold "The Last Five Years' to HBO U.S. they have also sold it to airline entertainment.


This is the best Bowie bio/doco since the now dated episode Hang Onto Yourself from the BBC series Dancing In The Streets, and of course producer / director Francis Whately first part Five Years.
Francis Whately also produced White Light, White Heat: Art Rock episode in the series Seven Ages of Rock , this contain some new outtakes from  Hang Onto Yourself series Dancing In The Streets.
Some unseen footage in The Last Five Years, but i was surprised they didn't source masters of some the official clips, there was even some am cam with studio audio dubbed, all in all i give it a 20 out of 10.
It wasn't just the last 5 years, but material from all over Bowie's career, i didn't realise that 'fame' was such an issue with Bowie.

what do you mean 'fame' was an issue for bowie ? i know visconti had an issue w/ it.

ok I see what you were talking about. I misunderstood your term fame for the song 'fame'. great 'david live' footage. I'm still waiting for that tour to be release on video ... should I hold my breath ? I could watch this documentary again and again
