This Friday Night (2016-01-15) at Sound Food And Drink, Duke Street,Liverpool...
Fantastic Voyage...“Drink, drink, drain your glass, raise your glass high…” as we pay tribute to our ultimate musical hero.
The most Bowie-centric disco possible – his finest songs, plus those of his collaborators, influences and influenced. But mainly, absolutely, extremely David Bowie.
Because we’ll be flying beyond Mirror Moves’ Post Punk New Wave Synth Pop Noise universe this Friday and celebrating Bowie in ALL his many and varied guises…
From Panic in Detroit to brilliance in Berlin… From the 60s ‘Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed’ Beckenham Arts Lab boho to the 90s Drum 'n' Bass Earthling…
Spiders from Mars to (Take care, take care!) Glass Spiders…
And from The Thin White Duke to Blackstar...
Plus, yes, maybe even a musical appearance from the Goblin King himself.
Because this is about celebrating an incredible musical life that’s enriched all of ours’; constantly keeping us guessing, never doing the expected and - whatever he did - always giving it that irreplaceable Bowie uniqueness.
One thing we can guarantee, though – THIS is a night for the fans; if that’s you, let’s celebrate together and make it a night we won’t forget.
Free entry. But we’ll be donating from the night to Cancer Research, so any contributions you can make will be much appreciated.
Please spread the word amongst fellow space cadets, and see you on Friday.
With love,
MM
Xx

I don't do Research funds.  They KNOW WHAT CAUSES CANCER, many things, chemicals including BPA and chemicals they put into cosmetics and even vaccines.

And they know what CURES or drastically reduces most cancers.  EGCG, Curcumin are high on the list, and they're natural, and they're safe.

They refuse to acknowledge the science, in terms of natural healing nor prevention for the masses. They did the same for 30 years while people kept smoking because "the science wasn't in yet" -

BOLLOCKS!!

They also did the same game with LEAD while big industry poisoned children in their homes for another decade or more, before two smart and strong industry fighters did what they had to do.  See The book The Toxic Truth. By a strange coincidental twist of fate, I actually got to shake Herb Needleman's Hand. I just happened to be a researcher at UPMC next to his lab from 1997-2003.  But I only found out years later of his role in getting recognition for lead as a neurotoxicant.

They KNOW what causes, and could successfully treat cancer, from methylation and lifestyle factors to anti tumorigenic herbs...yet they deny it to keep the cancer "industry" booming.  Don't attend, please, even if it is Bowie related.

I have been living with cancer for the last 18 months and the treatment, advice and palliative care I am currently receiving from the NHS are fantastic; Macmillan and The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre are doing great work. I think we all know the causes, and I certainly don't need your negativity,If you want to cure the likes of me with herbal remedies then get on with it.
I am attending the evening to show my respect and love for David Bowie's music and I WILL be making a donation to British Cancer charities that have helped to keep me alive and positive for the last year,
Martin
p.s. the donation is voluntary and there will not be people shaking charity buckets in your face.
