I think that I recall that Other said that he was moving house last year from Manchester (I think) to an area in The Lake District that had no real BroadBand cover. Without BB he was a bit 'stuck'.

There is no other like Other. I hope he gets Superfast BB soon!

Still around and occasionally call in. Just lately all efforts have been in filling in gaps in the vinyl collection with torrents taking a back seat. I did grab a couple of torrents here last year to see if they were worth finding as pressed discs...they were :)

Its hard to keep up as life keeps its pace. I remember an interview with a notable taper/collector before the bittorrenting craze where he was talking about taking care of his mom and still trying to get to shows as well as never being able to listen.

that's what the torrenting thing did to me: now you can 'acquire' more music than you can listen to in a lifetime in a weekend or 2, and there is much less time to squabble.

but the count is 5! 5 uncirculated old db tapes have surfaced since the 11th.
so i'm on that!

I used to be on BA, helping out with audio stuff, Colin from Savage Jaw was a big part of that sharing certain titles and sharing with BA with stuff that was only available with MWP and SJ. So I guess you can count me as one of the old timers.

when we had thousands of posts because of things like song title game

one place I could go without ex wife knowing tracks hence that strange shag.r instead of shagnz
