Hi - taking the opportunity to introduce myself . Bowie fan from my teens . First show Wembley 76,
many a Saturday buying bootlegs at Camden market- Kingston, Baby Doll, HMV, 1980 Floor show- all still with me . Picked up the 74 EP and an acetate- My death & Man in the middle, which I have never seen since.
Took my girlfriend to Earls court 1st July 78 - and she is still my wife today !
Where is that second half soundboard!? and the film .....Used to write to Michael in Essen Germany ( anyone know him?) used to swop tapes of the Prisoner for Musikladen , he had the Wembley 76 video, never got it as the Prisoner series finished , how these things pan out .7
This years news re kindled the love and interest in the great man . Memories re visited of Glass Spider at Wembley ( saw nothing !) Milton Keynes with all the moons - S & V - a class act on stage . And my final show Reality at Wembley - sitting just a few seats away from my 76 seat - spooky.
Bought Black Star on the Sat - record store playing all Bowie, a young lad - said this guys the greatest, and had to agree . Saved the cd for Mondays long car journey - woke up to the news - wow the car trip was so emotional.
Found Bowie Station from DB forum- great work guys - good job.
I might be the guy that produced the Sound & Vision fanzine mentioned elsewhere, that really was cut and pasting , in the old sense - along with 'borrowing' my bosses photocopier !!
Only notable rarity in the collection on an old BASF cassette is a selection of demos and acetates given to me by a girl working at the Bowie fan club , some have surfaced elsewhere - but I struggle to tell Drive In Saturday and How Lucky you are etc to what is out there already - so perhaps don't get too excited .

Thank You Very Much. Bye Bye .We Love You

Amsterdam
The Prettiest Star
Kooks
Drive In Saturday
London Bye Ta Ta
John I'm Only Dancing
How Lucky You Are  2.39
Rebel Rebel
Rupert The Riley 3.51
Starman
Ching A ling  4.73
Bombers
Changes
Dana Gillespie- Andy Warhol

The hand written note on the sleeve - says demos , not sure what the numbers refer to - thought timings but 4 mins 73 secs for Ching A Ling?  - unless they mean something else - ie 239 351 and 473 , guess we will never know .
Going to find a cassette deck and have another listen . From memory - I struggled to hear differences in the majority of the tracks - from the originals at the time , the tape must be from 1977 time , but the versions of Kooks & changes are not the official versions - but tend to feel they have surfaced elsewhere .

Thank You Very Much. Bye Bye .We Love You
