Evening all,

It's a couple of months since the last Hunky Geordie batch, and with the big move from MWP to BS, I thought it wouldn't be a bad time for an update.  Jan-Erik suggested we have a separate section for the HG series, which I thought was wonderful, so many thanks for that.  

He also asked if I could do with some help on upping the torrents, so it's doubly timely to give an update.

First of all, some nuts-and-bolts stuff.  I'm off on holiday on Saturday (24th) then a week after I get back, I'm in Nigeria again for a week (w/c 15th June), so I'm struggling a little to give much time to torrents till I get back from there.  Second thing is that I'm currently on "normal" broadband (roughly 6½Mb/s download, around 50kb/s upload) so DVDs take me a long time.  As soon as I get back from holiday I'm ordering fibre, so somewhere around third week of June I'll have both the time and a beefier line.

In the meantime, I'm working on some upgrades and new stuff.  As it's looking at present, what's in the pipeline is:

1. Roughly 2 DVD's worth of upgrades to audios in HG batches already released.
2. Somewhere between 1 and 2 DVD's worth of new audios (so HG volumes 33 and possibly 34).
3. Three DVD upgrades (Brussels 21-4-90, and Linz and Ulm 1990).
4. Five multi-camera DVDs (two already in the bag).
5. A whole raft of compilations and mop-up vids from the stuff I got from Andre - probably somewhere around 10 DVDs, perhaps).

Had MWP been going still, the upgrades would have been two batches of upgrades - but now that we're in our new home, I think it makes more sense for me to redo the HG volumes that have the upgrades in them - I trust that's OK with everyone.

While I'm at it, there were a handful of batches had mistakes in the art and/or the release notes, so it would make sense to tidy those up.

So the long and the short is, that to reply to Jan-Erik's question of whether I could do with help in uploading the HG tapes, my simple answer is "yes please" - so if you've got the original files and want to up them when everything is up and running fully, I'd be very grateful.

BUT, can you please avoid the following, so that I can put the updated or corrected stuff out there:

1. Please don't up any of the audio volumes 1-9.
2. Please don't up any of the DVDs, up to and including HUG069DVD (Munich) - HUG075DVD Uniondale onwards are OK.
3. Please don't up the Hunky Geordie's Slight Seconds Volume 2.
4. Please don't up audio volumes 14, 19, 21, 24, 26, 27, 29 or 30, all of which need some repair work or have upgrades.
5. And finally, please don't up HUG119DVD Irvine Meadows (again, an error needs correcting).

I'll crack on with those from late June and it shouldn't take too long to catch up.

I've always had all seeding and there's always been leechers so I'm ready to go with them

I'm working on Audio Vols  torrents now ready to go
Vols 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18,20, 22, 23, 25, 28, 31, 32

also have slightly seconds vol.1 ready


made ffp and reduced copy of cover artwork to suit announcement specs on all torrents not included

I'm sure may have an extra md5 mine has one which covers whole disc which I created when downloaded

Hi all,

Back in the country, so I've got a couple of weeks to start some re-seeding (albeit my main focus at the moment is some new material).

Little bit of a delay, however, as the first recordings I want to re-up are all DVDs (the first six HG recordings were all DVDs) and the torrent section is "Audio - Hunky Geordie Tapes".  Have PM'd Jan Erik, so will hopefully get that sorted and we can kick this all off.

As an aside, it's a modest number of upgrades that are in the pipeline, but some of them are rather tasty!

OK, HUG001DVD is now on the tracker, waiting for seeds.  Only a modest bit of tidying here:

- Corrected the lineage following info from betty07 when upped originally
- Artwork updated accordingly
- Disc art added

The VIDEO_TS files, however, are unchanged from the original up, so if anyone's got those, perhaps they could help out.

As soon as this one looks like it's taken, will get on with HUG002DVD and then keep going.  When I get fibre next week, should accelerate nicely.  My trip to Nigeria's been cancelled (phew!) so hopefully the momentum will carry nicely.

Will try to do an update at the weekend in terms of what's changing and what's safe to up.

Compliments to Jan Erik, the creation and upping process seemed pretty damned smooth to me.

HUG002DVD is now on the tracker, waiting for seeds.  Similar plot to HUG001DVD:

- Corrected lineage
- Updated artwork
- Disc art incorporated.

As with HUG001DVD, the VIDEO_TS and MD5 files are untouched, so if anyone's got those from the original, all help appreciated (thanks Nathan and kiwikid for the help on 001).

First upgrade tomorrow.

Quick update, in that there are some recordings I'm having to skip and come back to later.  They are:

HUG003DVD - major upgrade - will probably be the last one that I up.
HUG023CD - give me a day or two, almost there. [DONE]
HG Tapes Volume 6 - as noted in today's up for HG7, I've fallen a bit behind on this one.  Hopefully can get there in the next week or two.
HUG059CD - falling behind on this one - may be slightly delayed. [DONE]
HG Tapes Volume 9 - have hit a bit of a problem, so will be delayed - perhaps a week or two.

After that, it's all plain sailing.  The other news is that my trip to Nigeria is cancelled, so can keep upping next week.

It's Rotterdam Rehearsals 1987 - 4 disc set.
