I wonder, if anybody has a glitch free audience video of Nottingham 1997? It circulated in traders' circles several years ago, but most copies had a glitch that made it impossible to watch the whole recording. Once I was going to get a clean copy from an old Bowie collector, but when I was about to seal the deal, I started losing all my Bowie contacts because I didn't have enough time to be into snail mail trading anymore.
I heard very positive comments on that concert and would appreciate if anybody can upload it!

The balcony shot video?

Good news - I have a 1st gen VHS copy.
Bad news - Its stored many miles away from me at the moment.

Someone on here I'm sure will have it though.

This was a excellent DB gig btw.

Yeah, I was at that gig.

Recorded it very badly, got another audience tape, put it out and I think it still circulates? Do a search for 'Blood and Quicksand'

Also got an audience video, I did convert to DVD, didn't get around to sharing it at the time, there were too many audience DVD's around then, was a nightmare uploading it, so left it in the bag.

Sadly, like Noggin, everything is in storage.

Glad to hear that you have it! It would be great if you upload that gig here. Now after the time of active bootleg trading is gone I think it is the only video - probably except for some extraordinary video rarities from earlier periods which still may pop up some day - which I'd really want to see!

Btw I've got an extensive video collection and could share some gifts of Sound & Vision here too. Looking at how rapidly the site is developing and how much enthusiasm people have I was going to make my little contribution too anyway.

Its close to unwatchable, but you can really feel it.

Ok, It will be from the S-VHS I suspect then. I can't recall the exact details, there wasn't many copies made at the time.

I saw the one shot from the floor in a bootleg shop in NYC called Revoler (later Revolution) Records.

It only takes one copy let out, I guess.

I don't think my copy is worthy of an upload it's only 33 mins and the sound is awful as well.
Maybe worth waiting for someone to come up with a better and complete copy.

Saw it.  The whole segment was maybe five minutes long.  Concert footage probably only 1-1½ minutes, bit of reportage and a segment of an interview with David.  I have to say it was really nicely done, in massive contrast to the debacle that BBC1 then put on 45 minutes later.

Didn't tape it though.

I've just checked out the version I have: it's the balcony video and it suddenly stops at aprox. 28 min because of some error. The disc menu says, the whole record should be 107 min. long.

So I will be definitely interested in both versions of that gig!
If anybody has any of them you can PM me and I'll try to offer some good stuff to upload it here, I was going to do it anyway.
