Sadly most being re-seeds and most from a small amount of up-loaders.

I reckon there are over 200 recordings/exclusives I have done myself/paid for out in the wild now. I can't think of anyone whose let out more (even if some were leaked 13 years on).  

For the record I want all rare recordings in circulation. The only people that really give a fuck are those who spent decades collecting knowing one day this stuff will surface.

And quite a few not, like the never-before heard Velvet Underground stuff I uploaded here, and nowhere else. Nevertheless, people share what they share. That's how it works. It's the purpose of the site. Though there are, of course, people who have things to share but would rather upload nothing while downloading like mad.

I've always thought that hoarders just don't 'get' the spirit of music. If they choose to hold onto stuff for eventual kudos and/or financial gain, that's their choice, but it's a pretty sad reflection on their psyche.

Whenever I've recorded a show, or discover that I have a crappy old 80s cassette which is (or even could be) an improvement on circulating versions, my first thought is to rip it and up it; not for kudos, but so that as many fellow fans as possible can derive pleasure from my actions.

Just sayin'.

At one point it was thought that it would be an album ever year for five years. Then it was every other year. Then it was a single or double album. None of those possibilities was ruled out, but when the record company moron said no to what was presented to him, it just killed the whole thing.

So Bowie, being Bowie, found a way to re-record it and get a new version released.

I suppose that's what happens when a group of incredibly talented people walk into a room with no clue what they're going to play - just a rough idea of what it's all about and that's it, and then they make it up as they go. You either get brilliance or complete garbage. They got some of each... and then it was apparently up to Eno to figure out what to keep.

Hmmm. I just realized the whole thing could easily have turned into an art crime....

I have added a ffp file to the torrent, except for that, it is the same as the Dime upload.

What kind of problem did you have with uploading?

I basically followed the same procedure as on Dime, but the torrent never materialized here - maybe got a gremlin or do I need permission first from the admin as I read something in the FAQ's?.

Met the godfather of Punk in Vienna 1991 - he is a very kind and polite person. But he fell out of my radar since 2003 because had no time to record him afterwards since I had to use my leaves for other acts which I considered more important. Will check for the Vienna 2003 show for uploading in the near future

There are no restrictions on uploading. All members can upload. The old FAQ should probably be taken down. It was included with the software package, but I never finished the work on our own FAQ.

The minimum requirement for an upload is only the torrent file and selecting a category. If files are added, it checks if the files are of the correct type. Not everything give a good error message...
You also need to add the Bowie Station tracker when creating the torrent.

Other common causes of problems:
- Opera browser (not supported)
- VPN/Proxy
- using bowiestation.com instead of www.bowiestation.com
