The Song intro starts, David starts talking, after that there's a little break, and after that a few lines are missing, for the rest the song is complete.

It would be great if one of the audio experts here can repair this bit, with a few lines of the version from the "David Live" album.
I think it would be possible...but I don't have the "know how" myself :(

In my opinion this is not a good idea to take bits from other shows to fill the blanks in any incomplete recording...
The idea, still in my opinion, is to let it as it is until another version of this show can be used to fill the blank if it's proved that there is really a blank...

That wouldn't be a repair and the show would be truncated...
That's only my opinion...
Moreover "All The Young Dudes" in "David Live" was earlier in the tour, in July and was not sung the way it was in September...

Yes, I think that's possible there's a blank, but you should do the manipulation by yourself if you really want to use another version of the song using Audacity, it's very easy to use and to do. It's just a copy/paste game, nothing difficult...
You select the part in the song from 'David Live' and paste it exactly where you want it to be in the LA show, and that will be done...

Thanx. I will try when I find the time...I have used Audacity a few years ago when I had digitized recordings
from my own old bands.

Is there no problem with bitrates, like there is with editing and joining video footage ?
And can I load Flac in Audacity, or does it have to be Wav ?

For the bitrates I don't know, and for Flac neither do I, but that doesn't matter as you can easily decode from one to another with Trader's Little Helper in a few seconds... :)

I've just tried it with a Flac file and it works, and you should rename it with ".flac" when you've finished your modification, I think it should work OK...

I'm afraid the master tape from it is the same too, no way to find another version anywhere, sorry to say ! 8o
You really don't have to download that version again...
A remaster is simply a remaster and can't have more than the original used for it !
There is no official recording here, just admit almost everything here will never be perfect and that's what make their charm...

I wanted to make "a spliced in from david live" version of the song, so I'm gonna download the torrent,
cut out this song, and it will save me time doing it myself :-)
